About

The mission of the Asian American Women Artists Association (AAWAA) is to advance the visibility, recognition and documentation of Asian Pacific American (APA) women in the arts. Through exhibitions, publications, historical archives, public programs and a website that features information by and about APA women in the arts, AAWAA is a unique resource and portal for academics, researchers, students, arts and social justice communities and the general public. Driven by a focus on art, empowerment, and women, AAWAA’s programs advocate for inclusion of APA women’s voices in media, arts institutions and American art history.
